May 2026 Smoothie king center Events Guide: New orleans Concerts, Shows and Games
If you're thinking about catching an event at the Smoothie King Center, you're in for a treat. This place isn't just your average arena, it's a buzzing hub of activity and energy. Remember the 2013 Super Bowl media event? That put this venue on the map for big-time happenings. During events, you'll find a dedicated souvenir shop section where fans can grab some memorabilia to remember the night. Since 2002, it has been the home court for the New Orleans Pelicans, making it a must-visit spot for basketball fans craving that electric game day vibe. The upper level seats might surprise you with their perks, think promotional contests or sneaky good views during warm-ups. And if you're lucky enough to snag courtside seats, you might even get a glimpse of players practicing up close, pretty cool, right? Getting there is pretty straightforward; from Tulane Avenue, just head towards the waterway and turn onto Poydras Road, keeping an eye out for signs guiding you in. But wait, it’s not just sports, the Center lights up with concerts all year long. Whether you're dreaming of front-row Niall Horan, VIP seats for the Pelicans, or just looking for a budget-friendly gig, the calendar’s packed with options. The interactive seating chart is your best friend for picking out standing areas or specific seats, seriously, it’s super handy. All in all, it’s a place where memorable moments happen, so don’t miss your shot to be part of the action.
